Contacts & Lists

The Contacts page is your central directory for every person your team interacts with. You can create contacts manually, import them in bulk via CSV, and organize them into lists for targeted outreach.

Viewing Contacts

Navigate to Contacts in the sidebar. The contacts table shows:

Lifecycle StageWhere the contact is in the customer journey

You can search contacts by name, email, or company using the search bar. Filter by lead status using the status chips at the top.

Creating a Contact

  1. Click + Add Contact on the Contacts page.
  2. Fill in the contact details:
    • Email (required)
    • First Name and Last Name
    • Company and Industry
    • LinkedIn URL
    • Notes
  3. Click Save.

Editing a Contact

Click on any contact to open the contact detail page. From here you can:

  • Edit all contact fields
  • View linked opportunities
  • See conversation history
  • Assign or change the rep and AI agent
  • Pause AI outreach for this specific contact
  • View enrichment data (if available)

CSV Import

To import contacts in bulk:

  1. Click the Import CSV button on the Contacts page.
  2. Select your CSV file. The file should include headers matching contact fields.
  3. ScendCore will process the file and show import results:
    • Imported — New contacts created
    • Updated — Existing contacts matched by email and updated
    • Skipped — Rows with issues (e.g., invalid email)
    • Errors — Specific row-level error details

CSV Format

Your CSV should include a header row. Supported columns:

  • email (required)
  • first_name, last_name
  • company, industry
  • lead_status, lifecycle_stage
  • linkedin_url, phone
  • notes

Contact Lists

Contact lists let you group contacts for targeted campaigns and sequences.

Creating a List

  1. Go to Contact Lists in the sidebar.
  2. Click + New List.
  3. Name the list and optionally add a description.
  4. Add contacts to the list by searching and selecting them.

Using Lists

  • Enroll an entire list into a Sequence for automated outreach
  • Use lists to segment contacts by industry, persona, or campaign
  • Filter the contacts view by list membership

AI Pause

You can pause AI outreach for individual contacts. When AI is paused:

  • The AI agent will not initiate new outreach to this contact
  • Existing conversations can still be replied to manually
  • A reason for the pause is stored for the team’s reference

To pause or resume AI:

  1. Open the contact detail page.
  2. Toggle the AI Paused switch.
  3. Optionally enter a reason.

Contact Assignment

Each contact can be assigned to:

  • A human rep — The team member responsible for this relationship
  • An AI agent — The AI agent handling automated outreach

Assignment can be done manually on the contact detail page or automatically through intake AI routing.

Troubleshooting

CSV import shows many errors

  • Ensure your CSV has a header row with recognized column names.
  • Check that email addresses are valid and properly formatted.
  • Remove any blank rows from the file.

Contact not receiving messages

  • Check if AI is paused on the contact.
  • Verify the contact has a valid email address.
  • Check the contact’s lead status — do_not_contact blocks all outreach.
